Animal Rescue Missions
We are working day and night to provide rescue services to every injured, abused and sick street animal which is reported to us by the public. On a monthly basis, we rescue more than 100 new animals. Most them are in a very critical state due to trauma, torture or disease. We try our best to save every life that comes to our shelter and affiliated clinics in Lahore.
Adoption and Rehoming project
In addition to providing a shelter home for the street animals, we are also promoting animal adoption by engaging the public in the noble deeds of animal care and welfare. We utilize our social media platforms and onsite public events at different places in Lahore to help animals find their new homes
We understand that it is very difficult for a home raised animal to survive in the shelter, so we are working to re-home them so that they feel less anxious and live a comfortable life.
TNVR / TNR Campaigns
We are currently working to control the street animal population through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) and Trap-Neuter-Release campaigns. In this way, we are playing our part for the welfare of human and animal communities simultaneously. We believe that, like the developed world, instead of killing the street animals we should
work on the humane and effective alternative methods of animal control in our society. Every animal, which reaches our shelter, is properly checked by the qualified vets and then neutered, if that animal is a candidate for surgery.
Animal Rehabilitation Activities
At present, we are working on strategies to reduce the stress and psychological pressure on the rescued animals. All animals are provided with a fear-free environment with plenty of food, care and love to let them feel safe. Unfortunately, most of the rescued animals are not
only physically injured but also mentally traumatized due to lack of human empathy and
mischievous human activities against these poor souls.
Shelter for Paralyzed and Debilitated Animals
Along with providing medical care to the street animals, we are also providing them a warm and comfortable place to live, where they feel safe and are well fed. We are providing a new home to the street animals and keeping them in groups so that they don’t feel alone or stressed. Animals are kept together based on their species, for example, all healthy adult cats are housed together in a cattery.
Public Awareness and Education
In addition to providing rescue services, shelter facilities and adoption services, we are working to educate people about animal rights in the same society which we share with the animals. We are trying to educate people to make them realize that it is possible for both
humans and animals to live in the same ecosystem without harming each other. We strongly discourage animal abuse, torture and similar malfeasant activities performed by people.
Remote Veterinary Medical Advice Service
Sometimes, due to geographical constraints, it is not possible for us to rescue the injured animals. In those cases, our expert team of veterinarians provide remote medical advice to the reporters of those cases. We help them with both advice and money so that the reported
animals can feel better. We are providing veterinary medical advice services for the animals of remote areas of Sindh, KPK and Balochistan.
