Our impact

Cholistan Drought Camps

In April 2022, Cholistan, a desert area in southern Punjab, faced a horrific drought that depleted nearly all local water reservoirs. This crisis severely affected both local residents and animals. Team JFK stepped forward to help. We collected donations and reached remote areas with water tankers for people and animals, trucks loaded with ration supplies and fodder, and medical aid for both communities.

We reached villages as far as Bajnot. This relief mission lasted 15 days and supported more than 60 families along with hundreds of animals, including goats, cows, dogs, and
camels.

Multan Blast Relief Camp

A tragic gas tanker blast in Multan on January 27, 2025, caused a fierce fire that burned hundreds of animals. Team JFK stepped in and reached the affected area on January 31,2025. We arranged veterinary health camps, provided free treatment, medicines, ointments, and bandages, and supported local animal owners. Many severely burned animals were abandoned. We rescued those animals and brought them back to our shelter, where they received round-the-clock care.

One baby calf, later named Rani, was severely affected and was about to be slaughtered by her owner. We intervened, rescued her, and gave her intensive care. These activities lasted 15 days, and we helped around 500 animals.

Tarnol Donkey Rescue Mission

On July 27, 2025, authorities uncovered an illegal donkey slaughter operation in Tarnol, Islamabad. More than 50 live donkeys were found confined in inhumane conditions. and medical expenses of the rescued donkeys.

JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter stepped in, coordinated with government officials, and took responsibility for the transportation, rehabilitation, This became one of our most significant rescue missions.

Tolinton Market Medical Camp

Tolinton Market, a well-known animal trade market in Lahore, has long been associated with poor animal welfare conditions. Animals are often confined in overcrowded cages with inadequate hygiene and limited access to proper medical care. In October 2020, JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter organized a series of medical camps to address the urgent needs of these animals. Through these camps, we provided free medical treatment, guidance on animal health conditions, and advice on proper husbandry practices to improve their quality of life.

The initiative was supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, professional veterinary doctors, and support staff. In addition to medical care, we supplied essential medicines and nutritious food for the animals, despite the high costs involved. We also organized multiple protests to raise awareness and advocate against the ongoing cruelty at Tolinton Market. As all expenses were borne solely by JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter, the sustainability of these free medical camps was limited, and they could only continue for a few weeks.

2025 Flood Relief Campaign for Animals and Humans

In August 2025, devastating floods originating in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan provinces spread across Pakistan, submerging large parts of Punjab and
impacting millions of people nationwide. The disaster caused widespread destruction, leaving both humans and animals in extreme distress. During this critical time, animals suffered immensely—often overlooked despite facing equal, if not greater, vulnerability. Although our own shelter was located within a high-risk flood zone, we remained committed to our mission and actively collaborated with various flood relief organizations to support both affected communities and animals.

Our team successfully rescued more than 20 dogs and puppies that were at immediate risk of drowning in rising floodwaters. In addition to rescue efforts, we worked to provide emergency care, shelter, and support wherever possible under challenging and hazardous
conditions.
